Frequently asked questions
How do I log a seizure?
Open the app: the record button is right on the home screen. Tap it as soon as the seizure starts and the timer begins. You can film without leaving the timer. When it ends, tap “Finish”: you can then add details (type, symptoms, context) — nothing is required.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The app works entirely on your phone, with no account and no internet connection. The account is optional: it is only used to back up your data and to share it with your vet.
What does the Ictale Premium subscription include?
Seizure tracking, the journal, the calendar and the emergency plan are free. The subscription unlocks the full health record: treatments and dose reminders, additional exams (MRI, CT scan, EEG, blood tests) and trends. The price is shown in your local currency in the App Store or Google Play, with monthly and yearly plans.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Cancellation is done from your store account, not from the app. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Ictale → Cancel. On Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Ictale → Cancel. The subscription stays active until the end of the period already paid for.
How do I share the records with my vet?
In Profile → Share with my vet, generate a code. Give it to your vet: they enter it on this portal (pro.ictale.com) and access the records read-only. You can revoke this access at any time.
Where is my data stored?
By default, only on your phone. If you create an account, it is backed up on servers located in the European Union. You can delete your account and all your data from Profile → Account & cloud → Delete my account.
I lost my phone / I'm switching phones
If you had created an account and synced your data, sign back in with the same email address. Without an account, the data stays on the old phone: remember to create an account to back it up.
In an emergency
Ictale is a tracking tool: it does not replace veterinary advice. If a seizure lasts more than 5 minutes, if seizures occur back to back without returning to normal, or if in doubt, contact your vet or an emergency veterinary service immediately.
